U2 have rejected reports that their new album and tour is to be delayed until next year.
A report last week in music industry magazine Billboard speculated that the band's 13th album had been pushed back to next year. It reported that the band had booked further studio time with Adele and Plan B producer Paul Epworth and Ryan Tedder, who would join the project's main producer Danger Mouse.
Billboard also suggested that U2 had cancelled a tour due to take place in summer 2014.
However, speaking to The Guardian, a spokesperson for the band has flatly rejected the claims, saying: "U2's album is planned for this year (2014), is still on track and touring plans haven't been confirmed yet."
A representative of the band's label, Interscope, also said the album cannot be considered delayed as a release date was never announced.
