Kodaline have returned to No 1 in the Irish chart with their debut album In a Perfect World. It's the Dublin band's ninth week at the top, a chart feat last achieved by Adele three years ago.
It also put the Swords four-piece in the same record-breaking company as James Blunt, Oasis and The Beatles.
They have now spent 30 weeks in the Irish Top Ten. Sales of In a Perfect World are heading toward triple platinum with nearly 45,000 copies sold since the album's release last June.
The last artist to spend nine weeks or more at No 1 in Ireland was Adele in 2011 with her second album, 21 which went on to spend a grand total of 35 weeks at the top.
Oasis' 1995 album (What's The Story) Morning Glory spent 20 weeks as the Irish No 1, Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette was 18 weeks at the top, and James Blunt's debut album Back to Bedlam claimed the pole position for 14 weeks in total.
Elsewhere on this week's chart, Pharrell Williams' Happy returns to No 1 in the singles' countdown and Aloe Blacc arrives at No 4 with The Man.
Over on the album chart, Irish duo Morrissey and Marshall make an impressive first showing with their debut album, And so It Began . . .
