Soap star Michelle Keegan was overwhelmed as she filmed her final scenes in Coronation Street yesterday.
26-year-old Michelle Keegan, who plays Weatherfield's Tina McIntyre, is to be killed off in a shock plot twist this summer.
Keegan, who is engaged to reality TV star Mark Wright, was met by a crowd of fans with banners, balloons and presents as she left the famous cobbles for the last time yesterday (Arpil 17).
Taking to Twitter to show her gratitude Keegan wrote: "Today has been one of the most overwhelming days I've ever had. Thankyou SO much for everyone's tweets, messages and kind words..." she wrote.
"I'll be forever in debt to Coronation Street and ITV for giving me the role of Tina, I'm going to miss her, and everyone at Corrie...
"Thank U for all the support over the last 6 n a half yrs. I'll always have a piece of Tina with me- It's inevitable I have her earrings! X"
Keegan recently admitted that she has no plans about what she's going to do when she leaves Coronation Street.
