Singer-songwriter and gay rights activist Melissa Etheridge has married her partner of four years Linda Wallem, the co-creator of TV drama Nurse Jackie.
The couple wed at San Ysidro Ranch, California on May 31 in a ceremony attended by Etheridge's four children, and celebrity friends including Rosie O'Donnell, Whitney Cummings, Peter Facinelli, and fellow singer Sia.
People magazine reports that the 53-year-old Grammy Award-winner and LInda (also 53) announced their engagement following the US Supreme Court's decision on gay rights last year.
Etheridge has a new solo album scheduled for release in September.
