Bastille, London electronica duo Disclosure and UK singer-songwriter Jess Glynne will join local heroes Kodaline, Daithí and Dublin regular Ellie Goulding for this year's inaugural Guinness Amplify concerts.
Guinness Amplify was launched earlier this month as a new initiative to support up-and-coming acts in Ireland and to replace Arthur's Day, which had come under fire from some quarters of the Irish music industry and members of the public.
The event includes opportunities to perform in pubs over five weekends, beginning September 11-14 in Leinster and moving to Ulster (September 18-21), Connacht (25-28), Munster (October 2-5) and Dublin (October 9-12).
There will also be workshops, studio days, surprise shows by major acts and the chance for new artists "to share a stage with some of the biggest names in music" and to perform at showcase events in 2015.
The deadline for bands and solo artists wishing to be part of Amplify is tomorrow, July 31. Go to: www.guinnessamplify.com to submit your details.
