It's already looking likely that Brendan O'Carroll and crew will be shooting a sequel to Mrs Brown's Boys D'Movie.
The BBC has expressed an interest in a second movie about the much-loved matriarch and her family, and Head of BBC Films Christine Langan told Radio Times that she is "hopeful" it can become a reality.
Langan said that writer and performer Brendan O'Carroll "is wonderful to work with", and that "the audience love him and we would want to keep that relationship going".
Mrs Brown's Boys D'Movie has been very commercially successful, topping both the Irish and British box office charts. The film sees Mrs Brown fighting to save her Moore Street stall from a ruthless developer.
As for a sequel becoming a reality, Langan said: "I wouldn't be surprised. There isn't a script as far as I know. But I very much hope that he will come up with a sequel and I don't imagine he won't.
"Brendan has a very good understanding of how people tick," she added. "He really believes in that. There is something wild and refreshing about him. He is very much his own man."
