An average of over 850,000 viewers watched the 2014 FIFA World Cup Final and Bill O'Herlihy's final broadcast on RTÉ Two on Sunday night.
Sunday night's coverage of the Germany v Argentina match attracted an average audience of 857,000 viewers (live and VOSDAL - viewing on the same day as live), peaking at 1,280,600 at 10:35pm.
Fifty-six percent of viewers watching television from 7:00-11:20pm on Sunday night watched RTÉ Two's coverage.
The World Cup Final was the highest-rating match of the tournament on RTÉ Two and also the top-streamed game with 165,951 streams.
A total of 2,524,518 streams have been accessed from the RTÉ Player and 'Watch Live' on the World Cup site on RTÉ.ie.
