Trevor McDonald meets the Mafia in new series

Veteran newscaster Trevor McDonald meets The Mafia in a new two-part documentary series to be screened on ITV later this year. 

Filmed in New York, Miami, Philadelphia and Southern California, McDonald tries to get close to the inner workings of the largest crime organisation in the world.  

"Trevor's journey into this shocking but compelling world, populated by larger than life characters and even larger than life stories will unravel the mythology of the Mob to offer a unique and revealing insight into its reality," says ITV's controller of factual Jo Clinton-Davis.

The Mafia series follows McDonald's previous investigations, Death Row and Women Behind Bars.
