Michelle Doherty welcomes baby boy

TV presenter Michelle Doherty has welcomed her first child, a baby boy.

The former Xpose host and her partner, Mark O'Shea, welcomed their son in London last night, according to the Independent.ie.

While their son's name has not yet been revealed, both mother and baby are healthy and happy.

The presenter filled in for Aisling O'Loughlin on TV3's Xpose while she was off on maternity leave.

Doherty recently spoke about wanting to take a good deal of time off with her baby following the birth.

She said: "I want to be able to bond with the baby and build the relationship.

"You can't put your life off because of jobs. I just always wanted to be a mum and I thought: 'Whenever it's the right time I'll take my blessings."
