Arctic Monkeys were scheduled for their (what was sure to be cracking) headline appearance last night, and Jake Bugg and Bombay Bicycle Club were also due to wow the fans. A Wexfordman, no less, kicks off proceedings tonight, one Maverick Sabre, with Clean Bandit. The Kooks and You Me At Six follow at 8.00pm. Nature's Miracle Orphans 7.00pm BBC One
Presenters Ellie Harrison and Max Hug Williams follow the early lives of orphaned baby animals as they begin their brave journeys back in to the wild. In the first episode Ellie is in Australia to meet baby koala who was rescued from the roadside where his mother was killed. In Costa Rica, we find a house full of sloths. Five-month-old Newbie is a baby three-toed sloth, who has been battling pneumonia since she was rescued. Max follows Newbie's journey as Sam teaches her to climb trees and learn how to be wild again. First of a two-parter. Picture shows presenter Max Hug Williams with a baby Northern Tamandua, another orphan doing well in the series.
