Sharon Ní Bheoláin is to do the ice bucket challenge after exceeding her sponsorship target of €1,000 in aid of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA).
Ní Bheoláin was nominated for the ice bucket challenge by the Nicky Byrne Show on RTÉ 2fm and on the Nine O'Clock News on RTÉ One on Tuesday night.
Speaking about the challenge, she said: "I have to confess I'm not always the biggest fan of nominate or celebrity challenges, but I have to make an exception for Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA).
"Having witnessed their brilliant work and unfaltering support for family and care givers personally, I will happily take my ice shower... So dig deep for IMNDA and I'll step up to the plate!"
