It looks like Garth Brooks is not coming to Ireland next year despite rumours to the contrary.
Aiken Promotions have just released a statement which reads: "There are no plans for Garth Brooks to perform in Ireland next year."
Rumours had been rife earlier today that the country music star was set to announce two gigs in Ireland next summer.
The Irish Daily Star claims Brooks wants to beat U2's record for the biggest tour ever and reported that he may play a date in Dublin and a date in another Irish venue next July, at the concluding part of his current stadium tour.
The singer backed out of playing three nights at Croke Park during the summer, after Dublin City Council blocked his bid to perform five shows over five consecutive nights.
