Actor Jeremy Renner has said that his outlook on life has changed since becoming a father 18 months ago and that he feels miserable when he is away from his daughter, Ava.
Speaking on TODAY, the Avengers star said of being a dad: "It's the best. It's the best thing ever."
He joked: "She's kind of ruined my life. We were talking about how much I love my job and all these wonderful things - that means nothing anymore.
"Now I know what real love is, what real existence is. Best thing that I've ever experienced in my life."
On being away from his little girl, he said: "The only thing I think about when I'm not with my baby is, 'How do I get to my baby?'"
Renner continued: "I need to get to her, and I'm very miserable when I don't see her. I really love being a father.
"The only thing that has changed is my perspective on things. I still work, probably even more. It used to be all for myself so I'm not old and broke. All these things I still do, but I do it now for the future of my baby, and if it gets in the way of her well-being, then I stop."
