Leaked Sony emails revealed that Idris Elba was under "serious consideration" to take on the iconic role of James Bond earlier in the year, but Elba claims he isn't good-looking enough for the role.
Taking to Twitter, Elba joked, "Isn't 007 supposed to be handsome? Glad you think I've got a shot! Happy New Year people."
The 42-year-old Luther star previously said that he would be interested in taking the role when Daniel Craig departs.
Filming for the 24th Bond film Spectre began earlier this month.
