Sony lawyer David Boies has said The Interview "will be distributed" though he does not know in which form.
Speaking on NBC's Meet The Press yesterday (December 21), Boies said, "Sony only delayed [the release of the film].
"Sony has been fighting to get this picture distributed. It will be distributed."
He added, "How it's going to be distributed, I don't think anybody knows quite yet. But it's going to be distributed."
Following the cancellation of the film's cinematic release, Sony CEO Michael Lynton told CNN, "We would still like the public to see this movie, absolutely. There are a number of options open to us. And we have considered those, and are considering them."
On the subject of releasing the film on YouTube Lynton replied, "That's certainly an option and certainly one thing we will consider."
Sony Pictures Entertainment cancelled the release of the Seth Rogen and James Franco-starring comedy following threats from hacker group Guardians of Peace.
