Former Westlife member Mark Feehily has re-named himself Markus and has announced a Dublin gig for this March, ahead of the release of his debut solo album.
The Sligo man was in Westlife for 14 years and has been working on solo material since the boyband split in 2012.
Speaking about his forthcoming album, the 34-year-old told The Irish Independent that he has written about personal experiences on his new songs.
"It's always more daunting to write and perform songs that are autobiographical," he said. "I tend to write more when I'm feeling down or when something bad happens as it can be the only way to express myself. I'm really looking forward to sharing the new songs with the fans.
"I've always had so many influences and things to say that wouldn't have been quite right for Westlife and it's been fun after all these years to finally let them all out."
