The Irish public are one step closer to finding out what the nation's most-loved poem is with five of the ten shortlisted poems being revealed on The John Murray Show this morning. Watch our interview with jury members Anne Doyle and Damien Dempsey below.
The five poems revealed on today's John Murray Show were - Easter 1916 by William Butler Yeats; A Christmas Childhood by Patrick Kavanagh; Making Love Outside Áras an Uachtaráin by Paul Durcan; Fill Arís by Seán Ó Ríordáin and Quarantine by Eavan Boland.
The remaining five poems will be announced at 8.30pm this evening on RTÉ One's The Works, hosted by John Kelly.
Over the next five weeks, running up to the public voting deadline on Sunday, March 8, RTÉ will be asking the public to choose their best-loved of the ten. The poem with the most votes will be revealed on Friday, March 13, 2015.
All 10 poems will be featured in full on the website, and there will be information on each poem and poet, plus video and audio clips from the RTÉ Archives on the official website.
The site will also feature performances of each poem by past and current prize winners of Poetry Aloud, the national poetry-speaking competition for secondary school children.
The public will decide what is Ireland's best-loved poem of the past 100 years is and can vote by going to www.rte.ie/apoemforireland or by Freepost to A Poem For Ireland, PO Box 12575, Freepost F5087, Dublin 4.
Voting will remain open until Sunday March 8 and Ireland's Best-Loved Poem of the Past 100 Years will be announced on Friday, March 13, 2015.
