Coronation Street actress Kate Ford has discussed her recent divorce from TV producer Jon Connerty and has said she does not "like being single".
The 38-year-old star, who plays Tracy Barlow in the ITV soap, also revealed that she would like to be married again.
Speaking to Woman magazine, she said: "I don't particularly like being single. I enjoy the hustle and bustle of family life and I'd like to be married again.
"Sometimes I just want to come home and have somebody to tell about my day. If I didn't have my son I would have found my divorce harder. Having Otis made it bearable, because it's forced me to go out and meet people."
Ford also revealed that ageing bothers her more now that she is single, saying: "Ageing bothered me less when I was married. Being older and single is harder than being 25 and single.
"You feel it's more daunting to start again when you're approaching 40 than when you're approaching 30. That's one thing that has made my marriage break-up harder."
When asked if she has any similar traits to her on-screen character, Ford replied: "Tracy Barlow is supremely confident, she feels like she could have any man she wanted. She likes to feel as if she's gorgeous to men, but I'm not like that at all."
