Former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson has agreed not to mention either his sacking or the BBC during upcoming live shows with former colleagues Richard Hammond and James May.
More than 100,000 punters had already booked to see Top Gear live before Clarkson punched producer Oisín Tymon and got himself dropped from the show.
The road show has now been re-branded as Clarkson, Hammond and May Live and the tour will start in Belfast on May 22 before moving on to Sheffield, South Africa, Australia and Norway and finishing in London in November.
A source told the Sunday People: "Jeremy, James and Richard agreed to the terms put to them to let the shows go ahead in a good spirit. They were desperate not to let the fans down.
"Part of the deal was that neither the BBC nor the Top Gear brand would be brought into disrepute.
"Effectively this meant gagging Jeremy from mentioning what had gone on. But he agreed to comply."
