The record-buying public of Ireland have spoken and Eurovision veteran Johnny Logan has beaten Duke Special in their battle for chart supremacy.
Logan chose Prayin', written by Alan Earls from Greystones, Co Wicklow, on last week's episode of RTÉ music series The Hit and his recording of the song has landed him a No 3 hit, two places ahead of Duke Special with 1969 which was penned by Limerick's Aaron Hackett.
Elsewhere on the chart, Lady Gaga limps into the Top 10 with her new song Applause, Ellie Goulding burns up the bestsellers at No 2 and there's no budging Avicii at No 1.
Over on the album chart, Kodaline spend their sixth week at No 1 with their debut album In a Perfect World and somebody keeps buying Mumford and Sons albums.
