A cover of Bruce Springsteen's The River by Waterford band The Unusual Suspects and Guests is expected to raise thousands for a fund set up to help the families of Passage East fishermen Paul, Shane and Kenny Bolger who died in a fishing tragedy in June.
A cover of Bruce Springsteen's The River by Waterford band The Unusual Suspects and Guests is expected to raise thousands for a fund set up to help the families of Passage East fishermen Paul, Shane and Kenny Bolger who died in a fishing tragedy in June.
The cover, which has Springsteen's blessing, is already a Top 10 hit and has been praised online as one of the best ever versions of his classic track.
The River was also the favourite song of Paul, Kenny and Shane Bolger.
The song is available at some Golden Discs stores and can be downloaded on iTunes; The Unusual Suspects and Guests are expected to be vying for the Number One spot this week.
