The pizza delivery guy who found himself the star of Sunday night's Oscars in Hollywood has revealed that he received a very generous tip of $1000 for his most unusual delivery ever.
Edgar from Big Mama's & Papa's Pizzeria who delivered the order of 20 pizzas with cheese, pepperoni, mushroom and olives to the star studded event on Sunday received a $600 tip from the audience with presenter Ellen DeGeneres adding another $400 to the pot.
Edgar appeared on Ellen's show on Monday to discuss how he became the night's biggest winner.
He said he thought he was delivering pizza to the writers and producers when Ellen appeared and told him "follow me" before finding himself on stage.
He told Ellen on her show "I was shocked. I didn't know it was going to be something [like] this. It was really crazy." He also said that Julia Roberts is one of his favourite stars, so it was surreal to hand her pizza.
"She was my like woman in dreams. I was always watching her movies back in Moscow," he said. "So it was something crazy to me to deliver [her pizza]."
Edgar and his brother own the pizza takeaway.
He also delivered pizza for Ellen's audience on Monday.
