Bryan Ferry splits from wife of two years

Bryan Ferry and his wife Amanda Sheppard became divorced yesterday (March 7).

The couple, who had been married for two-years, were granted a decree nisi at a hearing at London's High Court.

Court paperwork shows that Sheppard applied to divorce the rock star, according to The Daily Mail.

The Roxy Music star and former PR girl Sheppard wed at the Amanyara beach resort on the Turks and Caicos Islands in 2011.

Before their wedding, Ferry said that he was "fortunate" to have met his girlfriend, who is 37 years his junior.

He said: "The interesting thing is - and I don't want to say the wrong thing in case I get into trouble with my girlfriend - you never really meet people your own age who aren't married.

"I'm very fortunate that I work in music, where you're in touch with different age groups, either the audience or people you work with. It does help. Obviously I'm not ageist!"

This was Ferry's second marriage following his 20-year relationship with Lucy Helmore, with whom he has four children.
