One Direction's label denies film sequel plans

Columbia Records has denied plans to make a follow-up movie to One Direction's tour documentary This Is Us.

Rumours began to fly when cameras were seen following the five-piece boy band on their current Where We Are Tour that there could be another movie in the works but their record label have said they aren't planning a second feature film.

Sugarscape quote a rep for the label as saying: "[Spurlock] is not involved with any filming with the band. There's always filming on the road, but not for a second feature film."

This Is Us director Morgan Spurlock reportedly confirmed the plans for another film to The Mirror saying, "Yes, there will be a follow-up to This Is Us. At this moment Ben Winston is with the band on their world tour filming what happens. He worked with me and is a great producer."

I guess fans of the Midnight Memories hitmakers will just have to wait and see how this one pans out.

One Direction's Where We Are Tour comes to Dublin's Croke Park on May 23.
