Stars were out in force for the Met Gala

It's one of the biggest events in the fashion calendar and the stars were out in force on the Met Gala's red carpet in New York last night.

From Kim and Kanye, to Naomi Campbell and Stella McCartney, everyone who is anyone in the fashion world turned out in their finest.

As with any red carpet event there were fashion moments we will remember for years to come and overall the standard was pretty high in the style stakes.

Her older sister Kim may be racking up column inches with her upcoming wedding to Kanye West but at the Met Gala it was Kendall Jenner that stole the show. In a stunningly classic champagne-coloured Topshop gown, reminiscent of Jennifer Lawrence's 2013 Oscars number, Kendall held her own among the crème de la crème of Hollywood.

Kim and Kanye made their first appearance since their rumoured wedding, both wearing Lanvin. It was a major step up in terms of style for the new bride after last year's floral abomination.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 press tour has been a real winner for Emma Stone and she continued her style streak in a stunning pink Thakoon ensemble. Andrew Garfield also looked very dapper in his silver jacket and black dickie-bow.
