RTÉ and TV3 will broadcast new documentaries about the omnishambles surrounding the cancellation of Garth Brooks' five-night stand in Croke Park.
In the week that the country superstar was due to hit Dublin for his comeback shows, RTÉ One will screen Garth Brooks: Tomorrow Never Came on Tuesday, July 22 at 9:35pm and the following night at 10.00pm, TV3 will show Garth Brooks: What Went Wrong?
Garth Brooks: Tomorrow Never Came follows the trail of events from the announcement of Brooks' comeback tour through to the final announcement of ticket refunds - along with the battling saga in between.
According to the RTÉ press office, "It's a journey to the heart of Ireland today - from our country's cultural and music hinterland (meeting concert support act, Nathan Carter, and Garth tribute singer, Trevor Smith) to politics done Irish-style."
TV3's Garth Brooks: What Went Wrong? features new interviews with Croke Park residents, Aiken Promotions, the GAA and Dublin City Council.
According to TV3, the programme "documents the fallout with a country music giant which resulted in a €50 million revenue loss to the country and irreparable damage to Ireland's global reputation".
