Kevin Spacey to front new CNN documentaries

Kevin Spacey is fronting a new documentary series about presidential campaigns for CNN, it has been announced.

The House of Cards star will narrate all six episodes of the new series Race for the White House, each of which will focus on a different presidential campaign.

Jeff Zucker, president of CNN Worldwide, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to have Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti bring their world-class talent to CNN.

"When we created the CNN Original Series brand, this is exactly the type of programming we had in mind and Race for the White House will be the perfect complement to our coverage of the 2016 campaigns and election."

The 60-minute documentaries will feature interviews, re-enactments and previously unseen footage.

They are set to air on CNN in 2016.
