One more person was sent home on MasterChef Ireland last night leaving just three left to battle it out for the final.
42-year-old Brian Topping originally from Ballymena but now living in Dublin failed to make the cut last night leaving Terry Lyons, Nicha Maguire and Tamarin Blackmur fighting it out next week to win the title and the €25,000 prize.
Last night the contestant were set the challenge of cooking for all of Ireland's chefs with Michelin stars including Kevin Thornton, Ross Lewis, Guillaume Lebrun and Martijn Kajuite.
Tamarian cooked the starter dish of Madagascar prawn folded around crispy soya skin, Terry cooked Foie Gras poached in sauternes with artichoke with Brian tackling the main of Smoked lobster with smoked oyster beignet. Finally Nicha served up a dessert of Frozen Irish raspberry meringue with tapioca.
Brian was eliminated by Nick and Dylan as they felt he didn't have the speed or attention to detail to make it into the final week of Masterchef 2012.
