Matt Smith keen on being a Bond villain

Doctor Who star Matt Smith doesn't think he's cute enough to play James Bond but he reckons he would make a good Bond villian.

"I'm not handsome enough to be James Bond. Maybe a villain though. Start campaigning now. I don't think I could be James Bond though." says Smith, who returns as The Doctor on March 30 on BBC One in an episode called The Bells of Saint John.

Speaking to The Sun, the 30-year-old actor added, "I'd edge on the camp dangerous side I think. Javier Bardem was amazing. I thought Skyfall was a sumptuous film."

Smith called the first episode of the new series of Doctor Who "a modern-day conspiracy thriller [that's] like Doctor Who meets Bourne meets Bond".
