They may be tipped as Girls Aloud's chart successors, but The Saturdays have admitted that they were upset by the news that the band had split.

The girl group made up of - Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh - parted ways last Wednesday after a decade together.

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Rochelle Humes, who is currently expecting a child with JLS star Marvin Humes, explained that she will miss Girls Aloud.

She said: ''It's the end of an era I went to see them on the Ten tour and I'm like, 'Why are you splitting up?' It was such a good show.''

Sats mate Una Healy said she has fond memories of GA: ''We supported them on their arena tour five years ago. It's so sad.''

Vanessa White reckons its pretty sad too and she was keen to add that The Saturdays are a long way off calling it a day (well other than Saturday obviously); "I feel like we've got loads left."
