70mm classics at the IFI in August

The Irish Film Institute is to screen more movies in 70mm in August as part of its IFI Classics strand.

The season has already begun with William Wyler's Roman Holiday (until August 8) and will be followed by Werner Herzog's The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser (August 9-15).

From August 16-22, Satyajit Ray's The Big City will be screened, with two special screenings of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey taking place on August 17 and 20.

From August 30, René Clemént's Plein Soleil will be shown, with more information and tickets available from the IFI Box Office on: (01) 679 3477 or online at: www.ifi.ie.
