Two and a Half Men stars Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer top the US TV actors' wage charts with respective wages of $750,000 and $650,000 per episode.
In a list compiled by TV Guide, a total of 24 actors are paid a quarter-of-a-million or more per episode. Given that many shows run over 20 episodes a year, annual income for some can be staggeringly high.
In third place is the only other actor who earns in excess of a half-million, NCIS star Mark Harmon, who makes $525,000 per episode - plus points off the show's profit.
Mariska Hargitay from Law & Order: SVU is next with $400,000 a show, while fifth place is shared by several names including Big Bang Theory trio Kaley Cuoco, Johny Galecki, and Jim Parsons, who get $350,000 each.
Simon Baker from The Mentalist is also on the $350,000 mark, as are Grey's Anatomy stars Patrick Dempsey, Ellen Pompeo and Sandra Oh.
In 12th place comes the highest-paid cable TV show actor Michael C Hall. The Dexter star pulls in an impressive $300,000 per episode and shares that salary level with Dan Castellaneta (Homer), Julie Kavner (Marge) and Yeardley Smith (Lisa) from The Simpsons.
