Irish among BAFTA's Craft nominees

Writer Graham Linehan, production designer Mark Geraghty and camera operator John Conroy are among the nominees for this year's British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Television Craft Awards.

Linehan is a double nominee in the Best Comedy Writer category for his work on Count Arthur Strong (nominated with star and creator Steve Delaney) and The IT Crowd, with Sam Bain, Jesse Armstrong and Tom Basden (Fresh Meat) and James Corden and Mathew Baynton (The Wrong Mans) completing the shortlist.

Geraghty is nominated for his work on the Dublin-shot Victorian crime drama Ripper Street, with Grant Montgomery (Peaky Blinders), John Stevenson (Burton and Taylor) and Catrin Meredydd (Broadchurch) also on the shortlist.

Conroy is nominated for the Best Photography and Lighting award for his work on Luther, with George Steel (Peaky Blinders), Ashley Rowe (Dancing on the Edge) and Ole Birkeland (Utopia) the other nominees.

The BAFTA Television Craft Awards take place on April 27 in London.
