The tale of a Taoiseach continues in Charlie (9.30pm, RTÉ One), the Brennan brothers are back with more At Your Service (8.30pm, RTÉ One), while things are getting emotional in Last Tango in Halifax (9.00pm, BBC One).

Aidan Gillen continues his portrayal of former Taoiseach Charles Haughey. Following the fall of Garret Fitzgerald's coalition government, Charlie must assemble a minority government after an inconclusive election. He does a deal with independent TD Tony Gregory and, despite the imminent bankruptcy of the country, he promises to rebuild inner city Dublin in return for Gregory's vote. Now in charge, he's determined to take on Margaret Thatcher at the UN over the Falklands, and fix the banjaxed economy. And get even with his enemies.
At Your Service, 8.30pm, RTÉ One
John and Francis Brennan are back problem-solving with ailing business across Ireland and this new run of the series sees the dynamic duo come to the help of Johnny Hassett who owns the Ballyhannon House Riding School in Quin, Co Clare. The Brennans want Johnny to diversify and make the most of his facilities, which include stables, a disused hayloft and an intriguing gazebo in the garden. Will he take their advice on board? And if so, will it work?

Last Tango in Halifax, 9.00pm, BBC One
Following last week's surprising revelation, an emotional Alan tells Celia they need some distance. Alan knows her well enough to understand that she's finding it hard to adjust, and she needs to meet Gary before making a judgement. The next day, feeling isolated in her misery, Celia drives to the farm to see Alan, and after a heart-to-heart agrees to join everyone for a Sunday lunch. Despite her initial reservations she can't help but warm to the charming Gary.
