2fm presenter and Kerbdog frontman Cormac Battle is to release his losing Eurosong entry, Be Mine, to raise funds for the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin.
Sung by Andrew Mann on The Late Late Show last Friday night, the song was beaten by Kasey Smith's Heartbeat in the battle to represent Ireland in Eurovision 2014.
Speaking to RTÉ TEN, Cormac said: "After the bruising experience of Eurosong me and Andrew have decided to release Be Mine on iTunes today with all of the proceeds being donated to Friends of the Rotunda Maternity Hospital.
"On reflection we didn't want to let the song die that night," he added. "It's still a great song and releasing it as a charity single can bring positivity to what was a pretty negative experience of being knocked out of Eurosong."
Be Mine is available now to download on iTunes.
