The much-loved School Around the Corner with Ray D'Arcy returns to RTÉ One this evening, Sunday May 11, at 6:30pm, with Rachel Allen among the guests.
Each week on School Around the Corner D'Arcy takes some of Ireland's showbiz and sporting stars back to their old schools, and in the first episode Allen returns to Alexandra College in South Dublin.
Speaking about returning to her school, Allen says: "Alexandra College is such a huge part of my life. I spent 14 years here. It does feel very much like coming home.
"When I walked into the junior school, the smell was something that came straight back to me. It reminded me of the hot cocoa we used to get every lunchtime. It felt really lovely and comforting."
