Olympic silver medallist Louis Smith and professional partner Flavia Cacace were crowned the winners of Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night.
The 23-year-old gymnast, who was the bookies' favourite to take the title with Cacace, beat off stiff competition from the other finalists: Dani Harmer and professional partner Vincent Simone, Denise Van Outen and partner James Jordan and Kimberley Walsh and partner Pasha Kovalev.
All four couples performed two dances in the main show: a showdance and a routine chosen by the judges.
At the beginning of the results show, actress Harmer was eliminated from the final, finishing in fourth place.

Singer Walsh and actress Van Outen received maximum scores from the judges for their favourite dances but finished as joint runners-up because the winner was decided solely by public vote.
Speaking about his success in both this year's Olympic Games and the dancing competition, Smith said: "They're both very different, but I can finally say I've won something in the year 2012!"
The athlete was full of praise for his professional partner Cacace, calling her patient and "the nicest person I've ever met".
Cacace replied: "Thank you for sharing your amazing talent and skill and ability with me."
