After several discussions with Dr. Herman, April and Jackson must make a decision regarding their unborn child in Grey's Anatomy (9.00pm RTÉ 2). Meanwhile, on Living the Wildlife (7.00pm RTÉ One) Colin Stafford-Johnson is in County Wicklow studying the badger. The excellent Fiorscéal has a film from Syria (10.30pm TG4) which deals with young 13 - 16 year old boys who are growing up in despair.

Emmy-winning cameraman Colin Stafford-Johnson presents the second episode of the new series. Now in its seventh year, this inspiring series takes us to the four corners of Ireland. In tonight's instalment, Colin is in County Wicklow, where he partakes in a unique badger study that uses all the latest technology to uncover the secrets lives of these oft-maligned creatures. 

Fiorscéal: Syria

10.30pm TG4

The war in Syria has so far claimed over 165,000 victims many are civilians, including children. This documentary follows a family in Aleppo who live in a rebel quarter. We film the daily routine of a young boy who lives with his brothers and parents who decided to stay and fight. Has this generation of 13 - 16-year-old boys lost their childhood forever? The film has exclusive images because for several months no journalists entered the zone in question. Another in the a sterling series of brilliant documentaries from TG4.

Stephen Fry "hounded" off Instagram

Comedian Stephen Fry has quit Instagram telling his 92,000 followers that he has been "hounded off" the picture sharing site.

The 57-year-old The Hobbit star posted a blank snap on his page followed by the caption: "Newspapers, as ever, suck all the joy out of everything. Closing down. It was, briefly, fun. Bye."

Last month Fry announced that he would be taking a Twitter "holiday" until May.

Watch! Huge turnout at Vikings casting in Dublin

With open casting for the History channel's adventure-drama Vikings taking place in Dublin on Tuesday and Wednesday, RTÉ News' Philip Bromwell has made a hyperlapse video of the hopefuls - see the half-mile queue here in 30 seconds. 

The open casting will continue at Filmbase, Curved Street, Temple Bar on Wednesday April 1 from 9:30am to 5:00pm.

The History channel recently commissioned the fourth season of the Ireland-shot series, with production due to begin later this Spring.

The third season is currently airing on History and is the Number One cable show on US television on Thursday nights.

History and H2 Executive Vice President and General Manager Dirk Hoogstra said at the time of the commissioning announcement: "Vikings has raided the hearts of both audiences and critics, establishing itself as one of the most compelling, visually stunning dramas on television."

Helen Mirren reveals movie festival regret

Helen Mirren's latest flick Woman in Gold failed to wow critics when it debuted at Germany's Berlinale in February and now the actress has opened up about the bad reviews.

In the film, the 69-year-old Oscar-winner plays a Holocaust survivor who battles the Austrian government for the return of an iconic family picture which was stolen by the Nazis.

Speaking to PA, Mirren reveals that it was a "mistake" to rush the film, saying: "It was a mistake rushing it to Berlin before the editing was finished. We paid the price, which I regret.

"It's an interesting story about a very powerful subject. I want it to do well because I didn't like to let (real life subject) Maria (Altmann) down."

Frankenstein comes to Galway Theatre Festival

A retelling of Frankenstein and Phelim Drew's one-man show of George Orwell's Down and Out in Paris and London are among the attractions at the Galway Theatre Festival this May. 

The festival runs from May 1 to May 9 and promises artists, scientists, priests, guerrilla aerialists, mythical storytelling and percussionists.

In total, the festival will host 25 shows over nine days by 24 different companies.

ThereisBear! (DruidFuse) will present what is billed as "an immersive re-telling" of the horror classic Frankenstein, while Drew's show is adapted from Orwell's account of his time living hand-to-mouth in Paris and London in the late 1920s.

It has already been a hit at the 2014 Tiger Dublin Fringe, and now Galway patrons will have an opportunity to enjoy Drew's vivid take on Orwell's brilliant work.

Brian Fleming presents his acclaimed trilogy of shows: Gis a Shot of Your Bongos Mister, Have Yis No Homes to Go To and A Sacrilegious Lesbian and Homosexual Parade.

The special May Bank Holiday programme of events includes a walking tour of Galway's theatre history, a dramatic re-telling of the complete Táin cycle of legends, late-night comedy improv and a free performance spectacle at a secret location in Galway city.

Other shows include new writing exploring the death of the Irish country town by Fregoli Theatre Company and an Irish-language version of 'the Scottish play' - Mac Beatha - by Seán Ó Tárpaigh.

Award-winning Rúbaí an Easter gem on TG4

The multi-award winning short film Rúbaí is set to be one of the main highlights on the TG4 schedule over the Easter weekend.

Set in present day Ireland it tells the story of Rúbaí's impending first Holy Communion and her refusal to take part.

Rúbaí is an independent and spirited child, wise beyond her eight years and she is definitely not the typical Irish girl. Her point of view is just different to everyone else's.

Rúbaí is told by her teacher that the First Holy Communion, a bastion of Irish tradition and culture, is fast approaching and Rúbaí flatly refuses to be a part of the classroom preparation.

She's an atheist and proud of it and whilst she is happy to stand by her convictions the wider society has a problem with such an independent girl and her crazy ideas.

Rúbaí is played by the talented young actor Doireann Ní Fhoighil. The eight-years-old is from Indreabhán, Co. Galway.

Her touching performance as Rúbaí was her first acting job but she has won over audiences in Ireland, the UK, Europe and North America.

In 2014, she scooped the award for Best Actor at the Irish Language Media. Doireann currently features as the character Áine in TG4's soap, Ros na Rún.

Rúbaí  is broadcast on Easter Sunday at 8.05pm on TG4

Robbie Williams denies X Factor rumours

Robbie Williams told a fan on Twitter not to "put any money on" the rumours that he is set to replace Louis Walsh on The X Factor.

The 41-year-old Angels hitmaker took to the social networking site to quash the rumours, writing: "re: X Factor rumours - I wouldn't put any money on this if I was you. I love X Factor but I'm busy this year...RW x"

His tweet comes after recent reports claimed Louis Walsh could be axed from the programme this year.

Hozier wins at iHeart Radio Music Awards

Hozier's hit Take Me to Church was named Alternative Rock Song of the Year at the iHeart Radio Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

Taylor Swift was named Artist of the Year and her hit Shake It Off was named Best Song, with Blank Space also earning her the Best Lyrics Award.

The singer thanked her fans at the ceremony, saying: "More than anything in the world, I just hope that any of the fans watching know how much I adore you... We've gotten closer and closer with each year, not further apart. Like, you make me so happy."

 David Threlfall stars in The Ark (8.30pm, BBC One), a drama about Noah and the Ark, Richard Ayoade hosts Travel Man: 48 Hours in Barcelona (8.30pm, Channel 4) and it's bye-bye to Vic And Bob's House Of Fools (11.20pm, BBC Two).

This one-off drama, written by Tony Jordan (Hustle, The Nativity) and starring David Threlfall (Frank Gallagher in Shameless), is the retelling of the biblical story of Noah and The Ark. Noah, a farmer and family man, is instructed by an angel to build an ark in the middle of a desert in order to save both his family and the faithful from a devastating flood. Noah risks ridicule and humiliation in his quest to carry out his mission.

Travel Man: 48 Hours in Barcelona, 8.30pm, Channel 4

Richard Ayoade is probably best known for playing Maurice Moss in The IT Crowd but his latest incarnation sees him playing tour guide. In the first episode of this new four-part series, Ayoade is joined by actress Kathy Burke on a ruthlessly efficient weekend away in Barcelona. In just 48 hours, he reveals everything this top tourist destination has to offer - from its famous art galleries and bafflingly popular football stadiums, to wild new culinary trends and long sandy beaches.

It's the season finale of this fun show starring Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. GoT's Maisie Williams for Doctor Who

Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams is set to guest star in Doctor Who.

While details of her role are yet to be revealed, showrunner Steven Moffat has said she will "challenge" the Doctor. 

"We're thrilled to have Maisie Williams joining us on Doctor Who," he said.

"It's not possible to say too much about who or what she's playing, but she is going to challenge the Doctor in very unexpected ways.  

"This time he might just be out of his depth, and we know Maisie is going to give him exactly the right sort of hell."

Williams added: "I'm so excited to be working on Doctor Who as it's such a big and important part of British culture. I can't wait to meet the cast and crew and start filming, especially as we'll be shooting not too far from my home town [Bristol]."

Doctor Who will return to BBC One later this year, while the fifth season of Game of Thrones begins on Sky Atlantic on April 13.

Harrison Ford released from hospital

Harrison Ford has been released from hospital after sustaining severe injuries after he crash landed his plane earlier this month.

72-year-old Ford suffered a large laceration to his head and broken bones in his pelvis and ankle. 

He was spotted driving in Los Angeles over the weekend.

The veteran actor was rushed to hospital on March 5 after his vintage World War II plane crashed on a golf course in California. 

Ford's wife, actress Calista Flockhart, was pictured visiting him on a daily basis. A source told People.com: "She would spend hours with Harrison. She brought him food and reading material."

Vogue Williams has already chosen baby name

Vogue Williams has revealed the baby name she would like to bestow on her daughter, and it's quite unusual.

The reality TV star, who is married to Brian McFadden, said they're not planning on having children any time soon, but if she has a baby girl she wants to name her Sailor.

Speaking to New magazine, she said: "I was fuming because Liv Tyler just called her son Sailor and it was clearly my name. I definitely want it for a girl, it's happening."

However, her husband isn't so sure about the name. She said: "Brian is really against the name I want."

Williams added of her baby plans: "I'm not planning on having kids for the next few years... I think just because my careers really taking off now and I'm doing a lot of TV. I would have to take a year off and I'm not where I want to be in my career yet for that."

Jolie wins at Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards

Angelina Jolie was among the people honoured at this year's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.

Take a look at the green-gunge antics from last night's ceremony here.

The actress, who attended the awards with her children Zahara Marley and Shiloh Nouvel, took home the gong for Favourite Villain for her role in Maleficent.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 was named Favourite Movie, with its stars Jennifer Lawrence winning the Favourite Female Buttkicker award and Liam Hemsworth winning the Favourite Male Buttkicker trophy.

Emma Stone won Favourite Movie Actress for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Ben Stiller was named Favourite Movie Actor for Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. 

Host Nick Jonas won the Favourite Male Singer gong, with Selena Gomez winning Favourite Female Singer.

One Direction were named the Favourite Music Group while Favourite Song went to Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj for Bang Bang.

Jackman hints at the end of Wolverine

Hugh Jackman has hinted that he is hanging up his Wolverine claws after 15 years playing the iconic character.

The actor inspired much debate among fans with one of his latest Instagram posts - a picture of his famous claw-enhanced fists along with the caption: "WOLVERINE ...ONE LAST TIME. HJ".

A source has told The Wrap that the film Jackman is referring to is the planned sequel to 2013's The Wolverine.

Jackman made his debut as Wolverine in X-Men in 2000 and has played the character six times, most recently in X-Men: Days of Future Past alongside Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and James McAvoy.

Adam Driver to star in Scorsese's movie Silence

Adam Driver has been in Asia filming Martin Scorsese's movie, Silence.

The much sought-after actor and star of Girls will be seen in Irish cinemas shortly in While We're Young, Noah Baumbach's comedy, which also stars Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts. The film opens in Ireland on April 3.

"Surreal," he says when asked by today's Observer (March 29) as to what being directed by Scorsese feels like. "I grew up watching his movies. In my culture, in Indiana, it was all about going to Blockbuster Video and renting Martin Scorsese movies.

"So to get to work with him is pretty surreal. It's suddenly gone from watching as an audience member to feeling like a participant in a way that's pretty exciting."

Silence is based on the novel by Shusaka Endo and is about a 17-century Portuguese Jesuit priest who is tasked with taking Christianity to Japan. The film also stars Liam Neeson and Andrew Garfield.

31-year old Driver will also be seen in JJ Abrams's forthcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Film Review: Get Hard

Will Ferrell plays hapless financier James King who is sentenced to ten years in San Quentin's notorious prison following insider trading at the company headed by the man who was to have been his future father-in-law. Now King has lost his job, his fiancée - the boss' daughter - and there are just 30 days until he is put away in chokey.

Fortunately he meets a young black man, Darnell Lewis (Kevin Hart), who spots an easy way to make a handsome few bucks. Ferrell's gormless character falls for Darnell's spiel that he has done time in prison and is thus in a position to show him how to defend himself from constant rape and violence. That would be from, ahem, the largely Hispanic and black prisoners incarcerated at San Quentin. 

So Darnell drills James in self-protection and constructs a pretend prison at his luxurious residence, with the domestic staff acting as prison guards. The film has caused some upset already because of its perceived racism, although it is more likely aiming its satire at the attitudes displayed by Ferrell's wealthy-but-naïve financier.

But why be offended by a movie that doesn't work anyway because it just messes too much with the warm, congenial heart that must drive a buddy comedy. There is too much disturbing stuff that just isn't funny, and one disturbing scene involving oral sex in a toilet that is downright scary.

So, like its numerous forerunners in the Ferrell catalogue, this gross-out movie will be enjoyed no end by late-teen boys. It will have them goggle-eyed with wonder, agog with slow-burning contempt, bug-eyed with sneaky admiration. They won't take it seriously, unlike grown-ups such as Justin Chang of Variety magazine who claimed the film had "some of the ugliest gay-panic humour to befoul a studio release in recent memory".

Och, that's taking it far too seriously: I don't think gay people will be that much offended. But there is, throughout, a casual nonchalance about violent sex which deflects way off-course the comic impact we actually want to feel watching Get Hard.

X Factor hasn't decided on O'Leary replacement

X Factor bosses have not yet decided on a replacement for host Dermot O'Leary.

It had been rumoured that Caroline Flack or Olly Murs could fill his shoes on the singing competition show, however it has now been confirmed that a decision has not been made yet.

An X Factor spokesperson told Digital Spy: "No decisions have been taken on who will replace Dermot as host of The X Factor.

"An announcement will be made in due course."

O'Leary announced on Friday (March 27) that he would be departing the show after eight years.

Cobain documentary Montage of Heck out soon

Montage of Heck, the new documentary on Nirvana front-man and founder Kurt Cobain -  who committed suicide on April 9 1994 – opens at the Irish Film Institute and at selected cinemas on Friday April 10.

Following the musician's death, Cobain left a considerable archive of journals art, music, and home movies behind. Director Brett Morgan (The Kid Stays in the Picture, Crossfire Hurricane) collaborates with Cobain's family in this fascinating new documentary which delves judiciously into that archive to produce a touching portrait of the tormented genius.

The film takes the story from his early years in Aberdeen, Washington, through to global status, attained through hit songs like 1991's Smells Like Teen Spirit. The unconscionable measure of fame and resultant demands on Cobain contributed to identity problems and undetected pressures.

In April 2014, Cobain's widow Courtney Love appeared on Cobain's behalf at Nirvana's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. "I just wish Kurt was here to do this," she declared.

The first trailer for Jake Gyllenhaal's new boxing movie Southpaw has been released, check it out here.

The actor gained 15 pounds of muscle to play boxer Billy 'The Great' Hope in Antoine Fuqua's drama.

The film also stars Rachel McAdams as Billy's wife Maureen, Forest Whitaker, 50 Cent and Naomie Harris.

Look! First photo of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool

The first photo of Ryan Reynolds wearing his Deadpool suit has been released, and it's pretty funny.

The actor tweeted an official portrait of Deadpool which shows the character lounging in front of a fire, along with the caption: "With great power, comes great irresponsibility. #deadpool #officialsuit."

The Marvel Comics adaptation sees Reynolds play the wisecracking assassin Wade Wilson, while TJ Miller plays his sidekick Weasel.

Homeland's Morena Baccarin takes on the role of Copycat while MMA fighter Gina Carano plays Angel Dust.

Deadpool is scheduled to be released on February 12, 2016.

New Sherlock will be "an emotional upheaval"

Sherlock's co-creator Steven Moffat has said that the fourth series of the show will be "an emotional upheaval".

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly he said: "[Season four] is going to be… I suppose you'd say… consequences. It's consequences. Chickens come to roost. It's dark in some ways - obviously it's great fun and a Sherlock Holmes romp and all that - but there's a sense of things coming back to bite you.

"It's going to be more of an emotional upheaval. Hopefully enjoyable and fun, all the things Sherlock must always be. It will be tough at times."

With regards to plot developments, Moffat said: "There are answers coming to questions which nobody has asked. There's one thing that no one has really brought up…"

Zayn Malik to release solo music through Syco

Zayn Malik will release solo music through the Syco record label, it has been reported.

The singer left One Direction this week, but it is now alleged that he has already had talks with Syco's owner Simon Cowell to release his own music through the label.

A source told The Sun: "Zayn is now the most in-demand solo artist in the world. There's huge excitement as he's the first member who will be able to release on their own.

"Simon was very understanding about him leaving the band but quickly made it clear he would stay a Syco artist for his future projects.

"He'll now be able to make sure any releases are timed so they don't clash with anything by One Direction.

"Obviously everyone at Syco would have preferred he had stayed part of the band but this result still works out for everyone."

It is believed that the 22-year-old singer is planning to release his debut solo album at the start of 2016.

Packed with even more charm, heart and fairy dust than Disney's 1951 animated outing, this live-action flick gives viewers an insight into the mind of Cinders (James) and those around her . . .

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water

Starring: Tom Kenny, Mr Lawrence, Antonio Banderas, Seth Green, Clancy Brown

If only I could be seven again. Or even 11 - I'd take that. It's hard to argue against eternal childhood when you come out of a cinema feeling as full of the joys as I did after this hugely entertaining sequel.

It certainly helped that I'd gone into the cinema thinking that a second SpongeBob movie, more than a decade after the first one, seemed a bit of a cynical exercise. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong!

Jeff Bridges is the last warrior of a mystical order, so a valuable man to have around when you want to have something miraculous done. Battered by life and somehow forlorn, we first meet him in a rough tavern, in an alcoholic, dejected state. Reluctantly he agrees to do some wonder-working, performing an exorcism on a young girl.

Actually, he gets very perfunctory thanks from the parents, who depart quickly indeed with the newly-cleansed daughter. Clearly, bad manners were a feature even in the Dark Ages, or whatever vague period of the primeval past this movie is set in. The folks should at least have invited him to the nearest takeaway for a slap-up meal, as he seems to eat only occasionally, and when he does, he eats ravenously.

She gets separated from her mother, and bumps into Oh when he is on the run from his fellow Boov after inadvertently revealing their location to the galaxy. An alliance between the two is soon forged and a series of adventures begin that bring them closer together.

Well, you couldn't accuse him of being in a rush - some of us have only been waiting 24 years to see Sean Penn lock and load like he did during the finale of Irish mob gem State of Grace.

Now, aged 54, he stars in his first bona fide action-thriller, albeit one which also takes shots at big business. The best bits of The Gunman prove that Penn should have done more of this kind of stuff years ago; the disappointments say he had enough time to choose a project where everything was perfect...

Al Pacino is Dublin bound this May

An Evening With Pacino is coming to Dublin's Bord Gais Energy Theatre this May for one night only where the screen legend will share his passion for acting and directing with fans.

The event will take place on Sunday, May 24 with tickets on sale from Wednesday, April 1 at 9am on Ticketmaster.

An Evening With Pacino makes a return to Europe following a sold out night in London's Palladium in 2013.

On the night Pacino will explore his time working off-Broadway in the 1960s and share some never-before-heard stories and never-before-seen clips from the course of his extensive career.

On one of his previous visits to Ireland, Pacino was invited by Trinity College Dublin to accept honorary patronage of the Philosophical Society (The Phil) and paid a visit to the University before addressing the students. 

With a particular interest in former graduate Oscar Wilde, the actor took a tour around campus visiting the Books of Kells, the Old Library and the Long Room where Wilde would have studied.

Corden refused entry to his own talk show

James Corden has revealed an incident with a security guard at his US talk show The Late Late Show with James Corden where the guard wouldn't allow him access to the studio as he had forgotten his pass.

Wenn quote the Into The Woods star as saying, "I came in and I just went to the guy, 'Hey, man, how ya doing?' and he said, 'I'm gonna need to see your pass...' I went, 'Oh no, it's in there [ the studio]... I just left...' and he went, 'I'm gonna need to see your pass'."

Corden then pointed to a billboard featuring his picture in the hopes that would convince the guard that he was who he said he was, "I went, 'Is that not better than a pass...? That pass is so big, I can't fit it in a truck'. And he went, 'I don't see it, man... Is there anyone I can call to come down?' I went, 'Yeah, the offices of The Late Late Show With James Corden, because that's my name...' and one of our production staff had to come down." Awkward.

Sheehan tells TEN: "It's fun to play an outsider"

Robert Sheehan plays a young man with Tourette's syndrome in his new film The Road Within, and he told TEN about playing an "outsider".

Asked what attracted him to the film, he said: "I think it's because, the character in The Road Within, aside from being the leading character, he's a character who has had to contend with great tragedy in his life and is an outsider looking in."

"He has this debilitating illness that made him separate from society, made him an outsider. It's fun to play an outsider, fun to explore an outsider," said Sheehan.

The former Love/Hate star also spoke about the responsibility to portray someone with Tourette's syndrome accurately. 

 "Lucky for me, from the point when I was cast in the film to the point when we started shooting we had a five-month period, which was a great time to have the character clacking around in my head," he said. 

"But it was also a great time to 'conquer' the Tourette's, to make it my own, personalise having Tourette's syndrome."

Sheehan continued: "We went from intensive bouts of rehearsals, to going off and doing other stuff, and coming back and then 'conquering' the Tourette's and coming up with my own tics, which all people who have Tourette's express it in very individual ways - it's very creative."

He added: "So I had to sort of come up with my own tics and stuff. And then after that it was great, the timing was great. Then myself and the director (Gren Wells) and the other two central characters (played by Dev Patel and Zoe Kravitz) started collaborating and rehearsing and stuff and I was really comforted by the fact that I'd had all these months."

The Road Within premiered at the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival which continues until Sunday, March 29.

GoT's Clarke on why she turned down Fifty Shades

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has revealed that she turned down the role of Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey over nudity concerns.

The actress told The Hollywood Reporter that she met with director Sam Taylor-Johnson about the role but talks didn't go any further, "I'd done nudity before and was concerned with being labelled for doing it again."

While she has filmed nude scenes for the hit HBO show, Clarke added, "There are other women who remove items of clothing on our show, so they've kind of got my nipple count down now."

Game of Thrones returns to Sky Atlantic on April 13.

Watch! TEN talks Cinderella with Richard Madden

TEN caught up with Cinderella's Prince Charming Richard Madden to find how what he made of playing the iconic role and he reveals that "learning to dance" was his biggest challenge. Click through to watch the full interview.

Speaking to TEN about his character's journey, Madden said: "We get to see him as a friend, a soldier, a prince to Cinderella, but first and foremost, you get to see him as a son. I think that's what's so interesting in this version -Cinderella is a daughter before anything and I'm a son before anything.

"These two characters are defined by their parents, so it was really interesting to have that relationship with a king."

When asked about the biggest challenge he faced in his iconic role, he added: "Learning to dance properly. I'm not very good at it and it's not something I'm drawn towards doing. I had to really work and it to make it look like I knew what I was doing."

Gleeson to begin filming WWII drama

Principal photography will begin in Germany on Friday on Alone in Berlin, the World War II drama which stars Brendan Gleeson and Emma Thompson and is based on Hans Fallada's acclaimed novel of the same name. 

ScreenDaily.com says the film is based on the true story of a couple who staged anonymous postcard protests against the Nazi regime. 

Daniel Brühl will play a Gestapo inspector in the film, which will be directed, and has been co-written, by actor Vincent Perez.

RTÉ TEN's TV picks for Thursday, March 26

Home of the Year (8.30pm RTÉ one) takes place over eight weeks, as 21 homes compete for the Home of the Year title. Three properties feature each week and the judges are interior design legend Hugh Wallace, award winning architect Declan O'Donnell and textiles and homewares designer Helen James. On Tracks and Trails (7.00pm RTÉ One) Eleanor McEvoy is walking in Cork, while Inside No. 9: La Couchette(10.00pm BBC Two) dramatises the lives of a number of train passengers on a French train journey.

Singer and songwriter Eleanor McEvoy is undertaking two walks in North County Cork. The first sees her tackle a 15km stretch of the Avondhu-Blackwater Way, from Ballyhooly to the town of Fermoy which is a mix of open road and woodland walks. Before Eleanor embarks on her walk, she meets her guide, local mountain leader, Maureen O'Brien, who tells her about the history and buildings of the village of Ballyhooly. Eleanor's second walk takes her to Doneraile Park which was home to the St. Leger family. It is now in State ownership and is open to the public.  Eleanor follows a path called the "Long Walk" around the outskirts of the estate.

Inside No. 9: La Couchette, 10.00pm BBC Two

The BBC Two anthology series written by and starring Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith returns for a new season of six films. On board the sleeper train from Paris to Bourg St. Maurice, a number of passengers try to get a quiet night's sleep as the train makes its way across France. But as the sleeping compartment fills up, the chances of that begin to look highly unlikely. In Deuxième Classe, everyone can hear you scream. This week's guest cast includes Julie Hesmondhalgh (Coronation Street, Cucumber), Mark Benton (Waterloo Road), Jessica Gunning (Pride), and Jack Whitehall (Bad Education).

ITV officially confirms end of Downton Abbey

ITV has officially confirmed that hugely-popular period drama Downton Abbey will come to an end after its sixth season.

In a statement, executive producer Gareth Neame says: "Millions of people around the world have followed the journey of the Crawley family and those who serve them for the last five years.

"Inevitably there comes a time when all shows should end and Downton is no exception. We wanted to close the doors of Downton Abbey when it felt right.

"We can promise a final season full of all the usual drama and intrigue, but with the added excitement of discovering how and where they all end up."

The show's creator, Julian Fellowes added: "The Downton journey has been amazing for everyone aboard. People ask if we knew what was going to happen when we started to make the first series and the answer is that, of course, we had no idea.

"Exactly why the series had such an impact and reached so many people around the world, all nationalities, all ages, all types, I cannot begin to explain.

"But I do know how grateful we are to have been allowed this unique experience. I suspect the show will always be a principal marker in most of our careers as we set out from here, and if so, I consider that a blessing and a compliment."

Downton Abbey season six is due to be screened later this year.

Kim Cattrall and Calum Best among Late Late guests

Sex and The City star Kim Cattrall, Calum Best, and actor Alan Rickman are among the guests for this Friday's Late Late Show.

Cattrall will look back on her career to date and discuss her dark new comedy TV series, Sensitive Skin. Best will talk about the difficult relationship he had with his father, world-famous football star George Best. 

Actor and director Alan Rickman will also join host Ryan Tubridy to discuss his directorial debut, A Little Chaos, in which he plays French king Louis X!V and which also stars Kate Winslet as a lowly gardener who is commissioned to design a water feature in the Garden of Versailles. 

Louis Walsh will also `dish the dirt' on what really happened between Zayn Malik and One Direction. Louis' new band Hometown will also perform.

The Late Late Show airs at 9.35pm on Friday on RTÉ One.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water

Starring: Tom Kenny, Mr Lawrence, Antonio Banderas, Seth Green, Clancy Brown

If only I could be seven again. Or even 11 - I'd take that. It's hard to argue against eternal childhood when you come out of a cinema feeling as full of the joys as I did after this hugely entertaining sequel.

It certainly helped that I'd gone into the cinema thinking that a second SpongeBob movie, more than a decade after the first one, seemed a bit of a cynical exercise. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong!

Watch! TEN talks to Robert Sheehan

Irish heartthrob Robert Sheehan was back in Dublin this week for the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival and TEN's Sinead Brennan sat down with him to find out more about his new movie The Road Within.

Former Love/Hate star Sheehan is now living in Los Angeles so he told us how life over there is treating him – its "great for hiking" among other things.

The Road Within is a comedy/drama that centres on Sheehan's character Vincent, a young man with Tourrette's Syndrome who embarks on a road trip to bring his recently-deceased mother's ashes to the ocean, so we spoke to him about the challenges involved with the role and what it was like to work with Zoe Kravitz and Dev Patel.

The 13th Jameson Dublin International Film Festival takes place until 29 March.

Watch! TEN talks Cinderella with Lily James

TEN caught up with the beautiful Lily James to talk about her  iconic role as Cinderella in Disney's new live-action movie, and she reveals her "heart was beating really fast" when she met Prince Charming for the first time.

Speaking to TEN about her first encounter with the handsome Prince, played by Game of Thrones' Richard Madden, James said: "He was having his hair dyed and I was having a costume fitting, so I was in one of the many layers of the skirt. They said 'Oh Richard Madden is here today, do you want to meet him?' and I was like ' Eeeek no, I can't meet Prince Charming, this is too much'".

"He came down and I was really nervous! He was halfway through getting his hair dyed, I was half-dressed and he came in - and we were like 'Hi, wow' – and they were like 'this is your Prince Charming'. It was really funny – my heart was beating really fast."

When asked if the sparkly glass slipper actually fit her, she added: "It didn't fit, so I'm not really Cinderella. The prince is still looking out there for his princess. They were made of Swarovski crystal, they were CGI'd on to my foot."

Cinderella hits theatres on Friday, March 27.

Watch! Nick Moran talks bringing Telstar to JDIFF

TEN's Sinead Brennan caught up with writer/director Nick Moran to talk about bringing his critically acclaimed film Telstar: The Joe Meek Story to the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival.

Telstar: The Joe Meek Story will screen as part of JDIFF in the Light House Cinema this evening, Wednesday March 25 at 6pm with writer/director Nick Moran in attendance.

While the film was released in the UK in 2008, this will be it's Dublin premiere and we spoke to him about bringing the movie to Ireland for the first time.

Moran said: "I'm so proud of it and I'm amazed we didn't get to show it in Ireland so I'm here to rectify that."

Clarkson: The rise and fall of a TV superstar

Jeremy Clarkson's contract with the BBC will not be renewed after the Top Gear presenter was found to have been involved in a physical assault on his producer two weeks ago.

BBC Director General Tony Hall came to the conclusion after a BBC inquiry into the 'fracas' which took place during filming of the motoring show which left Top Gear producer, Oisin Tymon, in Accident and Emergency. 

Hall paid tribute to Clarkson as a 'huge talent' but said he had no alternative but to terminate Clarkson's contract with the BBC. 

Hall has stood by Clarkson following a number of controversies, including an incident last year when the presenter appeared to mumble a racist remark during a Top Gear out-take.

BBC Scotland Director Ken MacQuarrie found that Clarkson engaged producer Oisin Tymon in a 30-second physical assault after a 20-minute verbal tirade at the end of a day's location shooting.

Clarkson's contract with the BBC was due to expire at the end of March.

The BBC plan to keep Top Gear on air. It is among the station's most popular shows with five million viewers per show and it also generates around €70m a year for the Corporation's commercial arm, BBC Worldwide.

The future of Clarkson's Top Gear co-hosts, Richard Hammond and James May, with the BBC remains unclear.

Hammond and May's contracts also run out at the end of the month and negotiations for new deals have been put on hold.

There are several reports that the BBC are lining up car fanatic Chris Evans as Clarkson's replacement.

However, the radio DJ has dismissed the rumours. Speaking on his BBC Radio 2 show, Evans said: "This is not true. Not only is it not true - it's absolute nonsense."

A statement from BBC director general Tony Hall read: "It is with great regret that I have told Jeremy Clarkson today that the BBC will not be renewing his contract. It is not a decision I have taken lightly. I have done so only after a very careful consideration of the facts and after personally meeting both Jeremy and Oisin Tymon.

"I am grateful to Ken MacQuarrie for the thorough way he has conducted an investigation of the incident on 4th March. Given the obvious and very genuine public interest in this I am publishing the findings of his report. I take no pleasure in doing so. I am only making them public so people can better understand the background. I know how popular the programme is and I also know that this decision will divide opinion. The main facts are not disputed by those involved.

"I want to make three points.

"First - The BBC is a broad church. Our strength in many ways lies in that diversity. We need distinctive and different voices but they cannot come at any price. Common to all at the BBC have to be standards of decency and respect. I cannot condone what has happened on this occasion. A member of staff - who is a completely innocent party - took himself to Accident and Emergency after a physical altercation accompanied by sustained and prolonged verbal abuse of an extreme nature. For me a line has been crossed. There cannot be one rule for one and one rule for another dictated by either rank, or public relations and commercial considerations.

"Second - This has obviously been difficult for everyone involved but in particular for Oisin. I want to make clear that no blame attaches to him for this incident. He has behaved with huge integrity throughout. As a senior producer at the BBC he will continue to have an important role within the organisation in the future.

"Third - Obviously none of us wanted to find ourselves in this position. This decision should in no way detract from the extraordinary contribution that Jeremy Clarkson has made to the BBC. I have always personally been a great fan of his work and Top Gear. Jeremy is a huge talent. He may be leaving the BBC but I am sure he will continue to entertain, challenge and amuse audiences for many years to come.

"The BBC must now look to renew Top Gear for 2016. This will be a big challenge and there is no point in pretending otherwise. I have asked Kim Shillinglaw to look at how best we might take this forward over the coming months. I have also asked her to look at how we put out the last programmes in the current series."

Ed Sheeran films Home and Away cameo

Ed Sheeran has been pictured shooting scenes on Home and Away today (March 24).

Sheeran was spotted on location at Palm Beach in Sydney along with actress Emily Symons, who plays Marilyn Chambers on the Australian soap.

The official Home and Away Twitter confirmed that the singer-songwriter will be making an appearance in the show, tweeting: "Yes, we can confirm @edsheeran was in #SummerBay today...Bet you can't wait to find out why..."

A spokesperson for the soap said that Sheeran's scenes will air in an episode later this year, saying: "He will appear as himself in the series, but the storyline details about what brings Ed to Summer Bay are being kept under wraps for now."

Emmy award-winning cameraman Colin Stafford-Johnson returns for another season. Now in its seventh year, this inspiring series takes us to the four corners of Ireland to meet a wealth of fascinating characters and film some incredible new species. For starters, Colin heads to Inishark Island in Connemara to film a pair of nesting great skuas for the first time. Despite the aggressive dive-bombing of the parents, he manages to capture some extraordinary footage of the new-born chicks.

Revenge, 9.55pm, RTÉ2

Quite possibly the ultimate show to watch if you want to kick reality to touch for an hour and give your brain a breather, this weekly trip through the madness of The Hamptons rarely disappoints and never makes sense. This time around, former Firefly and Suits stars Gina Torres is a special guest as Emily helps Nolan's blushing bride deal with the skeletons in her closet. Meanwhile, Victoria contends with a mysterious new socialite.

Elementary, 9.00pm, Sky Living

Watson is left fearing for her life after last week's cliffhanger. Certain that crime boss Elana March set up the attempt on her life, Watson heads behind bars to meet the woman she put away for life. When Watson is advised not to leave her guarded flat, Sherlock is left without a partner in his search for two pregnant zebras that have vanished from the zoo. So he drags a reluctant Detective Marcus Bell along to help him work the case.

Decision on Clarkson's future with BBC 'imminent'

A decision on Jeremy Clarkson's future with the BBC is expected to be announced 'imminently' following an inquiry into a `fracas' two weeks ago which saw him suspended from his presenting job on Top Gear. 

The Guardian reports that a senior executive at the BBC has said that allegations that Clarkson threw a punch at Irish-born producer Oisin Tymon during a row while filming Top Gear had to be "dealt with in a very serious way".

Speaking to reporters yesterday (March 23), the controller of BBC Radio 1 Ben Cooper said: "I think if my son or daughter went to a place of work where they were shouted at, abused and someone threw a punch at them, I would want there to be an inquiry and for that to be dealt with in a very serious way and that's what the BBC is currently doing."

Both Tymon and Clarkson have given evidence to the internal BBC investigation.

Jennifer Lawrence to exit X-Men

Jennifer Lawrence will play shape-shifting mutant Mystique for the last time in the latest instalment of the long-running X Men franchise.

Speaking on the red carpet for her latest movie Serena, the Oscar-winning actress confirmed the rumours that she will bow out after 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse.

She first appeared in 2011's X-Men: First Class, but has since become a much bigger star following her role in the Hunger Games franchise and her Oscar win for Silver Linings Playbook.

Big names join Irish director Robinson's Leviathan

X-Men writer-producer Simon Kinberg and Chappie director Neill Blomkamp will work with Irish director Ruairí Robinson on his sci-fi film The Leviathan after Robinson's three-and-a-half-minute concept video was viewed over 1.7 million times in a week.

Deadline.com says Kinberg will serve as producer, Blomkamp as executive producer and Jim Uhls, whose credits include Jumper and Fight Club, is writing the screenplay. 

The Leviathan is set in the early 22nd century when people can travel faster than the speed of light due to "the harvesting of exotic matter from the eggs of the largest species mankind has ever seen".

Robinson made his feature directorial debut with 2013's The Last Days on Mars.

Kinberg is also the creative consultant on the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, while Blomkamp is to direct the new Aliens sequel.

The Leviathan concept teaser was developed with the assistance of Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board.

Phillippe on Witherspoon divorce

Ryan Phillippe has spoken about his divorce from Reese Witherspoon, saying they split because they got together so young.

The couple first met at Witherspoon's 21st birthday, before starring alongside one another in Cruel Intentions and marrying the same year in 1999.

Phillippe spoke about their break-up on Larry King Now, saying that working in showbusiness did not contribute to their divorce.

He explained: "No. I think more of the problem was age. We got together so young. 

"I think it can create issues, two people being in the same industry. Because there's so much noise that goes along with it."

Oscar-winning actress Witherspoon filed for divorce from Phillippe in 2006, with the pair sharing joint custody of their children - daughter Ava, 15 and son Deacon, 11.

Phillippe, who is in a longterm relationship with girlfriend Paulina Slagter, also spoke about about his supposed 'bad boy' reputation, saying: "This is something that comes up with regular frequency and I'm not always sure where it comes from. I'm a pretty regular dude!

"I've been with my girlfriend for four years. She's a civil rights lawyer, so we have a lot of common interest. And I'm also a pretty dedicated dad, and I've got multiple companies. So there's not a lot of time for me to be a Hollywood bad boy!"

One Direction's Zayn Malik reportedly wants to quit the band.

The news comes just days after the 22-year-old singer left the band's On the Road Again tour, citing stress as the reason for returning to the UK.

A source told the Daily Star: "At the moment he's convinced he wants out. He is finding it all too much and wants to quit the group.

"His legal team is seeing what the situation is. There is a strong chance he will have to fulfil his commitments and he might change his mind once he's had time away from the spotlight."

Martin Clunes has begun filming in Port Isaac, Cornwall on a new series of ITV's hit show Doc Martin.

The new series sees the heartbroken physician trying to win back his wife Louisa (Caroline Catz) who has gone to live in Spain with their son while the couple try to find a way through their problems.

Commenting on his return as ITV's "grumpy medic", Clunes said: "I'm thrilled to be back on the beautiful North Cornish coast to shoot series seven of Doc Martin. The Doc has some serious work to do if he is going to persuade Louisa to come back."

In the new series, fans have also been promised a medical emergency close to home, a moneymaking scheme and a Taser gun calamity.

Review: Cry Monster Cry: Rhythm of Dawn ****

Dublin brothers Jamie and Richie Martin craft a spooked folk rock classic with their debut album.

With a name inspired by a shared childhood fascination with Grimms' Fairytales, Dublin brothers Richie and Jamie Martin create a sense of wonder and mystery of their own on this hugely accomplished debut album.

Both multi-instrumentalists who switch fluidly between guitars, mandolin, and banjo, these songs are certainly pastoral in their poetry but the brothers' crestfallen vocals sound spooked and lyrical portents lurk everywhere. 

On Gelert's Grave, inspired by the tragic Welsh legend, the Martins create a real sense of strange magic. Louis Tomlinson splits from girlfriend

One Direction's Louis Tomlinson has reportedly split from Eleanor Calder, his girlfriend of almost four years.

A representative for the couple told US magazine People, "Louis and Eleanor split up two weeks ago. They have not announced this as they wanted some privacy during this time."

People also quote a friend of the 23-year-old singer as saying, "Louis is really upset about it all. They tried really hard to make it work but it was just impossible, he's far away for nine months a year and they just grew apart."

The couple began their relationship in September 2011 having been introduced through a friend of Louis' band-mate Harry Styles.

Downton Abbey to end after sixth season

The upcoming season of hugely successful period drama Downton Abbey will be the last according to US television industry website TVLine.

Following hints earlier this month from Maggie Smith, who plays the indomitable Countess Dowager in the series, TVLine reports that 'multiple sources' have confirmed that the show will end after five years on air and six seasons.

"You can keep the show going without Matthew and Sybill, but you can't continue it without the entire Crawley family," a source told TVLine.

However, a spokesperson for NBC Universal, the US parent company of Downton producer Carnival, declined to comment.

Series creator Juliian Fellowes is said to be preparing to start work on The Gilded Age, a new period drama about on the wealthy elite and their social lives in New York in the 19th century.

Hardy Bucks the Movie, 11:00pm, RTÉ2

The lads may have missed a trick not licensing Miami Sound Machine's Bad Boy for their big screen debut, but fans were well catered for in every other department with this 2013 film. As star Eddie Durkan told TEN at the time of its release: "If Danny Dyer can make movies then The Hardy Bucks can make movies. It is as simple as that." This camper van odyssey finds the gang on their way to support Ireland in Euro 2012 - that is until an unscheduled stop-off in Amsterdam turns sinister, with gangsters, baboons and more sent to test our 'heroes'. You have been warned. And so were they.

About Time, 6:50pm, Sky Movies Drama

Domhnall Gleeson tries on the Hugh Grant crown for size and it fits in this time-loop love story from from rom-com supremo Richard Curtis (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill). Gleeson plays Tim who, like all the other men in his family, can travel through time - all he has to do is jump into a wardrobe and, after a bit of metaphysical mumbo jumbo, he's back where he wants to be. There are a lot of déjà vu dilemmas ahead, but first to right that New Year's Eve party . . . And Tim's not the only one to have been here before, because those of us whose seen-it-a-hundred-times-will-watch-it-again movies include Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill and Love Actually will find plenty of comfort blanket familiarity in About Time. The surprise is that, in between the Curtis calamities, characters and ideals, there are plenty of lump-in-throat moments and heavy questions of the awake-at-4am variety.

Russell Crowe backs Jeremy Clarkson

Russell Crowe has come out in support of Jeremy Clarkson, saying the Top Gear presenter `has a wonderful sensibility.' The actor added that he felt sympathy for Oisin Tymon the Irish-born producer who was involved in the alleged `fracas' with Clarkson.

Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, Crowe was responding to a question about the incident in which Clarkson reportedly reacted furiously because he was offered a cold meat platter instead of a steak after a day of shooting for Top Gear.

"I love watching Jeremy on TV, I think he has a wonderful sensibility," Crowe said. 

"Having been in this business for such a long time, I've done some pretty heavy days, I did a 24-hour work day with Michael Mann one time . . . so I can understand on the bones of what I know - because I don't really know the situation - if he's been head down, a*se up working and he's requested one little thing which is to be able to eat at the end of the day then I can understand why he'd get upset."

Crowe added: "I feel for the other guy too because I don't know what level of experience he's got or whatever or how much experience he's had with Jeremy or what else got in his way because he probably was very definitely trying to fulfil that. So the bottom line is, I think it's a storm in a teacup."

The Boov are on the run from the evil Gorg and are looking to relocate to an ideal planet, and find one in Earth. In return, Earthlings are shunted off around the world in a most benevolent fashion, which is where Rihanna's character, the 12-year-old Gratuity 'Tip' Tucci, comes in.

She gets separated from her mother, and bumps into Oh when he is on the run from his fellow Boov after inadvertently revealing their location to the galaxy. An alliance between the two is soon forged and a series of adventures begin that bring them closer together.

The Gunman

Starring: Sean Penn, Javier Bardem, Ray Winstone, Idris Elba, Mark Rylance, Jasmine Trinca

Well, you couldn't accuse him of being in a rush - some of us have only been waiting 24 years to see Sean Penn lock and load like he did during the finale of Irish mob gem State of Grace. Now, aged 54, he stars in his first bona fide action-thriller, albeit one which also takes shots at big business. The best bits of The Gunman prove that Penn should have done more of this kind of stuff years ago; the disappointments say he had enough time to choose a project where everything was perfect.

Penn's Jim Terrier is a former security contractor haunted by his past, and specifically what he did for his pay packet in Africa in 2006. Atoning for his sins by working for an NGO, Terrier is forced to go on the run when the present turns nasty. His route takes him to London and then Spain as he tries to put the pieces together, knowing that his chances of a getaway are diminishing by the hour.

Having worked together on Non-Stop and Unknown, Ballymena's one-man army and director Jaume Collet-Serra turn in their best collaboration with Run All Night, a gritty and grainy action-thriller that puts the boot in any chance it gets and which should have fans of the big guy and all things hardboiled thumping the armrest in approval. If you thought the Taken sequels were too watered down to secure those 12A ratings then don't worry; the bone-crunch index is much higher here. How high? Well, someone is lamped with a bathroom sink. It's that kind of movie.

Neeson plays Jimmy 'The Gravedigger' Conlon, a washed up hitman for the Irish mob who's haunted by his kill list and finding no answers at the bottom of a bottle.

1. Top Gear leaves skid marks

It was a bad week for petrol-heads and fans of forthright Tory-voting TV presenters. The fallout from Jeremy Clarkson's suspension from motoring show Top Gear following an on-set 'fracas' left skid marks all over the place. The Beeb are to release a report on the matter next week, and Clarkson spent the week licking his wounds and rounding on his paymasters with some choice words.

At a charity auction in London on Thursday night, where he was auctioning a lap around the Top Gear track for £100,000, the pin-up boy for Mondeo men everywhere said: "I didn't foresee my sacking but I would like to do one last lap. So I'll go down to Surrey and I'll do one last lap of that track before the ******* ******** sack me."

2. Ireland bids farewell to Tony Fenton

Radio stations across the country paid tribute to the late DJ Tony Fenton on Tuesday afternoon by playing one of his all-time favourite songs - Aretha Franklin's I Say a Litter Prayer.

Tony passed away last week following a battle with prostate cancer and his funeral took place on Wednesday in Donnybrook, Dublin before burial in Glasnevin Cemetery. His lifelong mates U2 performed a song in his honour and many of Tony's friends and colleagues including Ian Dempsey, Dave Fanning and Larry Gogan paid tribute to a man who really was the DJ's DJ.

3. One Direction's Zayn Malik has quit One Direction tour

More proof that they just don't manufacture pop stars like they used to came during the week with the news that Zayn Malik has exited One Direction's current tour due to stress. The announcement came after he was forced to defend himself online and express his love for his Little Mix fiancée Perrie Edwards after pictures emerged of him apparently close to another woman. A clearly peeved off Malik tweeted: "I'm 22 years old... I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there's a lot of jealous f***s in this world I'm sorry for what it looks like x."

4. Russell Crowe rocks The Late Late Show

Russell Crowe was in Dublin on Friday for the premiere of his directorial debut The Water Diviner. He chatted to TEN on the red carpet and then hit the Late Late Show where he joined the house band for a spot of Johnny Cash. Watch it here! Click here to watch our interview with Russ. 5. Kanye West to play Glastonbury

Roused from their slumber for the first time since Jay-Z was announced to play Glastonbury a few years back, music troglodytes were out in force when Kanye West was revealed as one of the main headline acts at this year's festival. An online petition sprung up demanding that he be removed from the bill and perhaps replaced with a supergroup featuring members of Slade, Oasis and Dumpy's Rusty Nuts. 

6. Time to reclaim the Throne

The stars of Game of Thrones were out in force in London on Wednesday night for the world premiere of season five. Kit Harington, Liam Cunningham, Sophie Turner and Aidan Gillen were among the actors who walked the red carpet at the Tower of London. The highly-anticipated fifth season of Game of Thrones starts on Sky Atlantic on Monday April 13. 7. JDIFF opens in Dublin

8. Hozier's hairy situation

He may have sold a cool one million copies of his debut album and been nominated for every award going but it seems Hozier's record label still frets about his hair. They reckon the Wicklow man, who turned 25 on St Patrick's Day, should wear his hair loose for public appearances. Speaking to The Sunday Times newspaper's Culture magazine, Hozier said: "It's a constant battle I have with my manager and label. Every television show I do the hair 'has' to be down, apparently."

9. Gwyneth Paltrow is just like you - no, really!

Phew! We always thought Gwyneth Paltrow was some type of superhuman floating high above us in a cloud of pure vapour and smiling beatifically on her subjects but it turns out she is just like you!!!! Speaking to something called CNN Money during the week, she said: "I'm incredibly close to the common woman in that I'm a woman and I'm a mother and we all are in a physical body with beating hearts with compassion and love we are all seekers . . . we all want fulfilment, we all want to live our best lives." Deadly! We look forward to bumping into her at the frozen goods isle at Lidl. 

10. Liza Minnelli checks into rehab

The Grammy and Emmy award winning singer and actress – daughter of the late Judy Garland - is receiving treatment for substance abuse, reported TMZ. Her spokesman Scott Gorenstein was quoted as saying that Minnelli is "currently making excellent progress at an undisclosed facility". Minnelli last entered rehab in 2004, while her mother died of an overdose in 1969 after struggling with addiction for large parts of her life. Get well soon Liza!

Watch! Franco and Hill in new True Story teaser

A new teaser for James Franco, Jonah Hill and Felicity Jones' upcoming thriller True Story has been released - see it here!

The film follows the true story of journalist Michael Finkel (Hill) who begins writing the life story of suspected murderer Christian Longo (Franco).

Friends of Finkel begin to worry that Longo is using him as part of a bigger plan and it's not long before he is being drawn into a world of danger and deception.

Oscar-nominee Felicty Jones, Ethan Suplee and Gretchen Mol also star.

The film, which is based on Finkel's memoir and slated for release on July 24, is directed by Rupert Goold and produced by Brad Pitt.
